    15' 1950 Turner
    "Chin Kuanq"
This is a 15' lapstrake inboard built in 1950 by the Turner Boat Yard in Vancouver, BC. A 4 cylinder 25 IV Midget Buchanan engine with a 2:1 reduction gear powers it. The boat has a skeg, which protects the prop and makes it handle extremely well. The rudder is outboard and the boat has a side mounted steering wheel.

The hull and deck are painted a cream white with dark green coaming. The seats and engine box are varnished cypress with dark green tufted leather cushions. The boat is trimmed with teak rub rails and brass fittings.

The boat was originally used as a tender aboard a Canadian government survey ship on the West Coast. The Chinese cook would yell "Chin Kuanq" every time the boat left the ship for prospecting inshore, hence the name was adopted for the boat.

The hull is BC fir on oak frames. Chin Kuanq is a typical inshore craft with good seagoing lines.

She is stored on a custom single axle trailer made for the boat. The boat trailers easily.
    ASKING: $6,000

    32' 1964 Chris Craft Roamer
    "Lady Catherine"
Lady Catherine is a 32' Chris Craft Roamer registered in St. Catherines Ontario. She has a steel hull with 10 guage sides and 1/8" bottom and powered by twin 327 Chev block Chris Craft Engines with electronic ignition. It has a complete rear cockpit roof and requires no tarps in bad weather. There is a separated forward cabin, 45 gallon sewage and 100 gallon fresh water tanks. Sleeps 5-6.

The following are less than five years old.

Cockpit canvas new in 1997, New teak and holly decking in cockpit and cabin sole, all woodwork in cockpit re-build and finished in 1997, New setee with storage under along rear of cockpit built in 1997, New cabin side windows in 1999 c/w glassed in window seats and new track to completelyprevent leakage, New aluminium framed cockpit windshields in 1994 c/w stainless steel trim, Hull and cabin completely refinished and repaired in 1999, Easy to maintain ename; finish on hull, polyurethane on cabin, New mahogany setee c/w new cushions in main cabin 1999, cabin interior refinished 1997/1998, New aluminium water tanks under forward V-berth 1994, All new safety equipment, Chrome re-done in 1992, Brand new custom built epoxy/wood swim platform 1999, New 12V wiring 1999, Comes with VHF, Depth sounder, Compass, Battery and power isolators and battery switch (to be installed).

It needs a little bit of TLC on some minor interior trim work (front cabin window surrounds) and on the headliner in the V-berth. Other than that, the boat is in VERY nice shape. Accomodations are 2 in the forward berth, one on the setee, and two on the dinette (table) bed.

The plates 6 to 8" on either side of the keel under the cabin sole were replaced in 1993, The entire underside of the hull was stripped and blasted at that time as well. A bitumous tar barrier coat currently serves as hull protection. The hull and the engine compartment is like new.

The engines are about 300 hours since previous overhaul. Carbs are re-built in 1999, and overall they run well! The 327 engine is very east to get parts for and can be worked on by just about any auto mechanic with half a brain. They do need some tlc and good tuning.

The boat truly is a classic and a rare find... to my (owners) knowledge only around 10 32' steel boats were built in 1964.

17'9" Bay of Quinte Skiff built in 1910
This beautiful 17'9" powered skiff was built in the township of Ameliasburg in the county of Prince Edward in southern Ontario,Canada in 1910.One of the only remaining examples of the boats built in this era for use on the Bay of Quinte It is built of cedar on oak frames and the deck is also of cedar with narrow bands of mahogany between the deck planks for a fancy finish. The centre seat-back folds for conveince and the fuel tank is mounted up under the seat. A compartment under the fore deck provides storage and a home for the battery. It is complimented by raised panel doors A Fairbanks Morse two stroke 3 1/2 hp engine powers the boat. It has battery ignition with a Model T Ford spark coil. Priming the cylinder with a shot of gas in the priming cup and rapidly turning the engine back to top dead center with the flywheel starts the engine, The engine is matched to a Baldridge transmission for neutral and reverse. The prop is protected by a skeg and she is steered by a side mounted lever. Amelia is named after Princess Amelia for the township she was built .She has been in covered storage since 1969 and was put back in the water May of 2000.She is stored on the trailer that was custom made for her hull.An historic boat that was once owned by the baliff of Prince Edward County.
